Though the prayer is very innocuous, the learned Special Government Pleader pointed out that as against the petitioner, FIR in Crime No.7 of 2023 had been registered by the Crime Branch, Sivagangai for commission of offence under Section 409 & 466 of IPC. After filing final report, the same was taken cognizance in C.C.No.122 of 2024 and trial is still pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P.No.7127 of 2025 Sivagangai. 3. In view of that particular fact, mandamus cannot be issued to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to retire. Such order cannot be issued by this Court. 4.
