JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH 10.10.2025 Ms. Rinika Maibam, learned counsel, appeared on behalf of the petitioner; and Mrs. L. Monomala, learned G.A., appeared on behalf of the respondents. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the matter has been referred for mediation at the Mediation Centre, High Court of Manipur and during the process of mediation, parties have arrived at an amicable settlement. The appointed Mediator has submitted a mediation report dated 06.10.2025 and the terms of settlement are as under:-
“Mediation sessions were conducted on 08.09.2025, 19.09.2025 and 06.10.2025. Both parties were given full opportunity to present their issues and explore settlement possibilities. Subsequently the parties reached an amicable settlement on the following point as mention below: i. The petitioner who is at Sl. No. 125 of the Consolidated Seniority list of eligible candidate in respect of Water Resource, Govt. of Manipur, under Die-in-Harness will be appointed to any post commensurate with his qualification on his turn as per the said seniority list and LAIREN MAYUM INDRAJE ET SINGH Digitally signed by LAIRENMAYUM INDRAJEET SINGH Date: 2025.10.10 13:30:16 +05'30'
Page 2 upon obtaining approval of the government as has been the general procedure. ii. The petitioner is at liberty to approach appropriate Forum, if his case is not considered as per the seniority list maintained by the authority." The learned counsel appearing for the parties submitted that in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the present writ petition can be disposed of. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of. JUDGE Indrajeet
