GP FOR REVENUE The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of respondent no. 2 to 4 in renewing the B-Form License for Cinematograph Exhibitions despite paying requisite penalty as directed pursuant to the proceedings vide RC.No. 1648/2025-A dated. 22-07-2025 issued by respondent no.3 as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitution and in violation of principles. Article, 14, 19(1)(g), 21 of the Indian 2 Constitution and against Rule 12-B of the Andhra Pradesh Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1970and consequently direct the respondent no. 2 to 4 herein to renew the B-Form Licence for Cinematograph Exhibitions at Sri Sai Kaarthikeya City Center, Chilakaluripeta, Palnadu district and process the application dated 17-06-2025 pursuant to the endorsement vide RC.No. 1648/2025-A dated. 22-07- 2025.” 2. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, on written instructions, would submit that the Petitioner instead of paying Rs.15,480/- for renewal of licence, has paid an amount of Rs.3,000/- only. 3. Sri P.Kasi Nageswara Rao, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that, as per the endorsement given by the Revenue Authorities, he has paid Rs.3,000/- only vide Challan dated 28.07.2025. Learned counsel would further submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders giving liberty to the Petitioner to pay the remaining amount and directing the Respondent – Authorities to consider the representation of the Petitioner for renewal of their licence. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the Petitioner to pay the balance amount for renewal of their licence. On such payment, the Respondent – Authorities are directed to consider the representation of the Petitioner for the renewal of their licence, and take appropriate decision according to governing rules and law. There shall be no order as to costs.
