The following two reliefs have been sought in the writ petition. "I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents/competent authorities to provide the license of construction work of Adarsh Private Path of rest Session Year 2024-25 for set up the Project in the name of Adarsh Private Path at village-Bitwada District-Muzaffar Nagar. II. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents/competent authorities to decide last representation dated 31.01.2025 moved by petitioners with registered post with specific and reasoned order." Insofar as the relief no.1 is concerned, learned counsel for the petitioner admits that this has for all practical purposes been rendered infructuous because the licence for which the petitioner had applied for was for the year 2024-25 period whereof will be expiring within the next ten days. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that along with application for grant of licence for holding cattle fair, a sum of Rs.3 lac was deposited by the petitioner, which may either be returned or adjusted against the application for the next year, which the petitioner proposes to file. Under the circumstances, the petition is disposed of directing the respondents to take appropriate decision on the representation dated 31.01.2025 filed by the petitioner preferably within three weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
