The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No.236 of 2024 arising out of Itkhori P.S. Case No.16 of 2024 for the offences registered under Sections 147, 149, 341, 323, 307, 452 and 302 of the I.P.C., pending in the Court of learned Additional District Judge-I, Chatra. On 17.02.2024 at about 8:00 P.M., 12 persons entered into the house of the informant and assaulted his brother by lathi and iron rod, due to which he succumbed to his injuries. It was submitted that there is general and omnibus allegation against all the accused persons. Mrs. Priya Shrestha, learned Spl.P.P. has stated that there is specific allegation against the petitioner that he had given rod blow on the head of deceased, due to which he succumbed to his injuries. From perusal of postmortem report, it appears that the deceased has sustained injuries on his head. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. Learned trial court shall expedite the trial. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
