The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to release the payment of Rs. 2,05,553/- which is due to him for execution of work, i.e., ‘Construction of Khul Gaspal to Nagam NLO Mohd. Iqbal Ward No. 3, Panchayat Changer’, along with interest @ 7.5% per annum. 02. The short grievance of the petitioner is that he has executed the aforesaid work to the entire satisfaction of the respondents and work completion certificates were issued to him. The administrative approval was accorded to the execution of the said work by the District Level Committee vide order dated 10.01.2020, issued by District Panchayat Officer, Kishtwar. After successful execution of the work, the bills were submitted and the respondents after proper verification of the same have issued Form-25, which reveals that the respondents accepted the same to be true and correct to the tune of Rs. 2,05,553/-. 03. The submission of the petitioner is that he is entitled to receive an amount of Rs. 2,05,553/- respectively for the execution of the aforesaid WP(C) No. 799/2025 work, and accordingly, he has approached respondent No. 3 for release of admitted amount due to him. 04. Mr. Jagpaul Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would feel satisfied if the writ petition is disposed of at this stage itself by directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for release of admitted liability/amount withheld by the respondents without any valid reason. 05. Keeping in view the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of at the threshold by directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for release of admitted payment/liability withheld by them provided there is no other legal impediment in it, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date a copy of this order is made available to the respondents by the petitioner. 06.
