(Oral)
1. The present civil writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ in the nature of Certiorari for quashing the order dated 13.09.1999 (Annexure P/8) passed by the respondent No.3 and the order dated 29.08.2000 (Annexura P/10) passed by the respondent No.2, being illegal, arbitrary. and against the provisions of Punjab Civil Services Class-III (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1963.
2. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Perusal of the order sheet dated 07.07.2025 reveals that the petitioner was unrepresented and Registry was directed to inform counsel for the petitioner regarding the next date of hearing i.e. 05.09.2025.
3. As per office report, 'LTC sent to the learned counsel through e-mail about the date fixed'. Despite the due intimation given by the Registry, none has come present on the behalf of the petitioner even today.
4. This Court is duly convinced that the petitioner is not willing to pursue the instant petition, which is pending adjudication since 2001.
5. In view of the above, I do not find any reason to continue with the same, and is therefore, ordered to be dismissed for non-prosecution.
6. Ordered accordingly.
