The present appeal is directed against impugned judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 20.08.2015 passed by the Special Judge (Electricity Act), District Janjgir-Champa (C.G.) in 2 Electricity Criminal Case No. 51/2014, whereby and whereunder, the appellant stands convicted under Section135 (1-A) of the Electricity Act and sentenced him to undergo R.I. for 06 months. 2. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that as per the information received from local counsel, the appellant is reported to be dead. 3. Learned counsel for respondent submits that in view of the death of appellant, the appeal may be dismissed as abated. 4. In view of the aforesaid submission made by learned counsel for the appellant and in absence of any application for bringing his legal representatives on record, the appeal abates and the same is dismissed as abated.
