Present Mr. L. Seityandra, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. K. Roshan, learned counsel for the respondent. [2]
The present appeal arises out of the check bouncing case. However, on perusal of the case record, the matter was referred to the mediation by this Court vide order dated 17.07.2025. In mediation proceeding dated 17.09.2025, the parties have amicably settled the matter. The mediation proceeding is reproduced as:

This report is being submitted pursuant to the referral
order dated 17.07.2025 passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Manipur in Cril.Appeal No. 7 of 2018 with MC(Crl.A) No. 35 of 2024, referring the matter for mediation.
The mediation sessions were attended by:
(i) Chingtham Devyani (Appellant No. 4 and on behalf of other appellants), (ii) Lalvikas Luwang authorized person of Thangjam Bijoy
Nature of Dispute: Cheque bouncing case.
Mediation sessions were conducted on 02.09.2025, 10.09.2025 and 17.09.2025. Both parties were given full opportunity to present their issues and explore settlement possibilities. Subsequently the parties reached an amicable settlement on the following points as mention below: (i) The respondent agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees two lakh fifty thousand) only to the appellants on installment basis, i.e. Rs. 50,000/- (rupees fifty thousand) only every five months and the same will be received by the appellant No. 4, (ii) The first payment will be made on 20.09.2025 and thereafter every five months till the total sum is realized.” [3]
In view of the settlement in mediation, the appeal is
disposed of in terms of the mediation report. Misc. application is also
disposed of.
