IA No.1/2023 is filed under Section 482 r/w 320(8) of Cr.P.C. seeking permission to compound the offence punishable under Sections 420, 406, 114 r/w 34 of IPC. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner and respondent No.2 submit that the petitioner has undertake to pay the amount on various dates as stated in the application and has already paid the same. Nothing is due to be paid to respondent No.2. Learned counsel for respondent No.2 further acknowledges the receipt of the entire amount and submits no objection to allow the petition. - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:2574 CRL.P No. 7825 of 2021 4. As per the order dated 10.08.2023 both the parties were present and admitted settlement amongst themselves. 5. Taking into consideration all these facts and circumstances, I am satisfied with compounding of the offence amicably by the parties. Under these circumstances, I do not find any reason to continue the criminal proceedings against the petitioner. Accordingly, same is required to be quashed. Hence, IA No.1/2023 is allowed. Criminal proceedings in C.C.No.1942/2012 pending on the file of the Principal Civil Judge and JMFC at Sira quashed. Consequently, the criminal petition stands allowed.
