JUSTICE A. GUNESHWAR SHARMA O R D E R 05-05-2025 [1] Heard Mr. L. Sevananda, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner approached this Court for re- providing security provided to him which was withdrawn by an order dated 04-07-2023 issued by the Director General of Police, Manipur. [3] During the pendency of the present writ petition, the petitioner filed an additional affidavit dated 24-09-2024 whereby bringing on record a representation dated 07-08-2024 submitted by him to the Office of the Director General of Police, Manipur. It is stated that the subsequent representation 07-08-2024 (Annexure-A/4 in the writ petition) is still pending. It is submitted that the writ petition may be disposed of by directing the Director General of Police, Manipur to consider the subsequent representation dated 07-08-2024 by passing a speaking order. WP(C) No. 595 of 2023 [4] Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents, has no objection in disposing of the writ petition by passing an innocuous order as prayed for. [5] Recording the submissions made at the Bar and the pendency of the subsequent representation, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Director General of Police, Manipur to consider the representation dated 07-08-2024 on its own merit and pass a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [6] It is made clear that this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case. [7] With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
