The petitioner happens to be husband of the deceased Khatiza Khatoon, who died in her matrimonial home within nine months of marriage because of asphyxia due to hanging. 4. It is alleged that the petitioner was demanding Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakh) as dowry. The deceased was tortured to enforce demand of dowry. 5. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected. 6. Learned Trial Court shall expedite the trial.
