1. The prayer in this petition is for a direction to set aside the notice by which the petitioner was directed to pay the property tax on the ground that he was the occupier of the property.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (“BBMP”) submits that pursuant to the impugned notice, the owner of the property i.e., the Hindustan Machine Tools Limited has actually paid the property tax and therefore, the prayer in the instant writ petition would not survive for consideration.
3. In my view, since the prayer of the petitioner was essentially to avoid the liability of paying the property tax and since the owner viz., Hindustan

Machine Tools Limited has paid the property tax, the prayer in this writ petition would not survive for
consideration and consequently, the writ petition is
disposed of having become unnecessary.
