By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following relief: "(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the Post Retiral Benefits of petitioner and release the pension to the petitioner after his retirement." It transpires from the record that petitioner was issued a letter dated 30th December, 2022 raising certain queries to which he claims to have replied on 9th January, 2025. Learned Standing Counsel submits that letter dated 30th December, 2022 is an official letter. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the concerned respondent to look into the reply of the petitioner made by him on 9th January, 2025 and take the final decision qua disbursement of post retirement dues of the petitioner within a maximum period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. Needless to add, the order to be passed by the authority concerned as directed herein above, shall be reasoned and speaking one.
