The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Ratu P.S. Case No. 238 of 2022, S.T. Case No.12 of 2024, for the offence registered under Sections 394/307/302/120-B of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 25(1-b)a/26/27 of the Arms Act and cognizance has been taken under Sections 302/394/307/341/326/120B of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 25(1-b)a/26/27 of the Arms Act, pending in the court of learned A.J.C.-I at Ranchi. On 29.07.2022, the father of the informant was waylaid by three unknown persons near Sunday Market, Ratu. The accused persons looted his bag containing jewellery and some money from him. When he resisted, he was shot by the miscreants and subsequently, father of the informant succumbed to his injuries. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is neither named in the F.I.R. nor he was put on T.I. Parade. It was further submitted that nothing incriminating has been recovered from his possession. It was also submitted that co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court earlier. -2- Learned A.P.P on behalf of the State has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that petitioner has got criminal antecedent. In view of the fact that there is no cogent material against the petitioner on record, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned A.J.C.-I at Ranchi, in connection with Ratu P.S. Case No. 238 of 2022, S.T. Case No.12 of 2024. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
