The Court made the following ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not releasing his retirement benefits i.e., the pension, gratuity, commutation of pension, earned leave encashment etc., even after issuing sanction orders, dated 11.01.2016 and 14.06.2017 as illegal, arbitrary and violative of Articles, 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to release all the JS,J WP (AT) No.1051/2021 2 retirement benefits together with arrears of pension with interest at the rate of 18% p.a. During the course of hearing, Smt. B.V. Aparna Lakshmi, learned Standing Counsel, appearing on behalf of the 5th respondent/Gram Panchayat, produced a copy of the proceedings in R.C.No.C3/756/2024, dated 29.10.2024, issued by the Administrative Officer, Zilla Praja Parishad, Ongole, which reveals that the pension and all arrears were paid to the petitioner and, after his demise, family pension and all arrears were paid to his wife viz., Smt. Velpula Vimalamma till the month of October, 2024 and as such no further orders are required to be passed in this Writ Petition. Recording the aforesaid submission, the Writ Petition is closed.
