THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR ORDERS, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition, petitioners seek the following relief:- “Wherefore, it is prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to quash the proceeding in C.C.No.39887/2024 pending on the file of the Hon’ble 32nd Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Bengaluru for the alleged offence under Section 498-A and 34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and pass such other or other orders as this Hon’ble Court may deems fit to grant in the circumstances of the case, to meet the ends of justice.” - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:21369 CRL.P No. 7808 of 2025 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners – accused Nos.1 to 3 and learned counsel for 2nd respondent – complainant have filed a Memo duly signed by the petitioners, 2nd respondent and their respective counsel and the same is taken on record. 3. Petitioners – accused Nos.1 to 3 and their counsel and 2nd respondent and her counsel are physically present before the Court and they admit the contents of the Memo, which reads as under:- “MEMO “It is respectfully submitted that in terms of the compromise rendered between the parties before the Family Court in M.C.No.831/2025 the Respondent No.2 has no objection to allow the above petition and hereby Acknowledge the Receipt of Rs.3,10,000/- vide D.D.No.550717. Wherefore, it is prayed to record the same and allow the present petition in the interest of equity and justice.” 4. In view of the aforesaid settlement entered into between the petitioners and 2nd respondent, I pass the following: ORDER (i) The petition is disposed of in terms of Memo dated 18.06.2025. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:21369 CRL.P No. 7808 of 2025 (ii) The proceedings in C.C.No.39887/2024 (arising out of Crime No.132/2024 of 1st respondent – Police) registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A and 34 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, pending on the file of 32nd Addl.
