The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Palkot P.S. Case No.46 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 310(4)/310(5) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 25(1-B)a, 26/35 of the Arms Act, pending in the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gumla. On 04.10.2024 at about 1:10 A.M., Palkot police received confidential information that some criminals had assembled near Bangru Pahad and were making preparation to commit dacoity, raided the place of occurrence. Petitioner alongwith co-accused persons were apprehended at the spot. It appears that a loaded country made pistol and live cartridges were recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It was submitted that chargesheet has been submitted in this case and petitioner is in custody for more than three months. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail, but does not dispute the aforesaid fact. It appears that co-accused Chudamani Manjhi has been granted bail by this Court vide B.A. No.10738 of 2024. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gumla, in connection with Palkot P.S.
