Somashekar, CJ] 11.07.2025 Heard the learned counsel for the applicant, Ms. Bisheshwori and learned Advocate General for the State. The present application has been initiated under the provision of Order 1 Rule 10(2) and Section 151 of CPC seeking for impleading Shri Prashant Kumar Singh, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur to array as respondent No. 8 in the connected contempt proceeding i.e. CONT. CAS(C) No. 142 of 2019. Keeping in view of the reasons stated in the application and the submission made by the learned counsel for the applicants as well as the learned Advocate General, it is deemed appropriate that this proceeding has been initiated only to array respondent No. 8 in the connected contempt proceeding. Therefore, the reasons stated in the application are justifiable and acceptable. Consequently, the present application is allowed in the interest of justice. In the meanwhile, the learned counsel for the applicants be directed to submit the amended contempt case in respect of the cause title in the rank of respondent No. 8 and copy of the same be furnished to the learned Advocate General.
