BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 13.12.2025 This is an appeal filed by the appellant-claimant against the judgment and award dated 10.08.2018 passed by the Learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Morigaon in MAC Case No. 37/2014 praying for enhancement of the awarded amount. The award has already been satisfied.
2. Shri R. Goswami, learned counsel for the SBI General Insurance Company Ltd. (Insurance Company) and the claimant no. 2 – Miss Pranita Konwar along with her learned counsel, Shri M. Talukdar are present today i.e., 13.12.2025 in the National Lok Adalat.
3. The parties present before this Court jointly submit that the matter has been settled between the parties and an additional amount of Rs.3,00,000/- has been agreed upon.
4. It has been informed that the clamant no. 1 has passed away in the meantime and copy of the death certificate is also placed on record. The awarded amount should be deposited in the name of the claimant no. 2 – Miss Pranita Konwar.
5. In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the additional amount of Rs.3,00,000/-, which is being the full and final settlement before the Registry of this Court within a period of 45 days from today.

6. The claimant no. 2 – Miss Pranita Konwar would be at liberty to withdraw the aforesaid amount on being properly identified by her learned counsel.
7. The appeal stands disposed of.
