Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased topleased to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS declaring action of the 1st respondent in not disposing the revision petition filed on 18-04-2023 against the demand notice dated 03-04-2023 in 578/V and E/VG/2023 thereby demanded to pay Rs.47,83,905/- towards normal seigniorage fee together with 5 times penalty along with necessary taxes, as illegal, irregular, irrational, contrary to the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Minor and Minerals Concessions Rules, 1966 and rules framed thereunder and offends Articles 14, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the 1strespondent to decide and dispose of the petitioner revision petition dated 18- 04-2023 in accordance with law and pass IA NO: 1 OF 2025 Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased pleased to grant stay of all further proceedings in pursuance of demand notice dated 03-04-2023 in 578/V&E/VG/2023 passed by the 4th respondent till the disposal of the revision petition dated 18-04-2023 pending before the 1st respondent, pending disposal of the main Writ Petition and pass Counsel for the Petitioner:

Heard Sri Naga Praveen Vankayalapati, learned counsel for the petitioner and Smt. Sudeepthi Potluri, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology appearing for respondents. With the consent of both the learned counsel, the writ petition is disposed of at the stage of admission. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that against the 1st respondent in not disposing of the revision petition filed on 18.04.2023 against the demand notice dated 03.04.2023 raising demand of Rs.47,83,905/- towards normal seigniorage fee. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that due to the pendency of the said revision petition, the petitioner is facing difficulty in obtaining dispatch permits. Thus, he prays the Court to direct the respondent No.1 to dispose of the revision petition as expeditiously as possible. 4. Having regard to the submissions made, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the revision petition within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till passing of the orders by the 1st respondent on the revision petition, the 3rd respondent is directed not to take any coercive measures for recovery of the subject demand. 5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
