ORDER:
The instant petition under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the petitioners/accused, seeking quashment of proceedings against them in notices dated 16.07.2025, under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 by the 2nd respondent in connection with Crime No.06/RCA-VSP/2017. 2. Heard Sri N.Ravi Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. 3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the a crime has been registered against the petitioners for money laundering and the petitioners were issued notices dated 16.07.2025 and a direction may be given to the police to the record the statement in the presence of their counsel. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would submit that Court may pass appropriate orders. 5. Considering the submissions made, this criminal petition is disposed of. However, the police are directed to record the statement of the petitioners and videograph such statement. The petitioners are also permitted to take his counsel to the police station. While recording the statement, the counsel shall not interfere and he shall sit at a distance of fifteen feet. 4
