JUSTICE ALOK JAIN Present: Mr. Mansur Ali, Advocate, and Mr. Tushaar Madaan, Advocate, for the petitioners. *** SUDHIR SINGH (ORAL) By way of the present writ petition, the petitioners have sought issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent authorities to consider the matter and allot flats to the petitioners in view of various policies dated 03.11.2008, 21.10.2008/16.10.2008, 29.12.2009/04.01.2010, 29.09.2011, 31.01.2014, 15.05.2015/22.04.2015 and 09.03.2016 (Annexures P-1 to P- 7). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have already made representations/applications dated 15.06.2021 and 15.11.2023 (Annexures P-10 to P-11) to the competent authorities for redressal of their grievances, but no action has been taken thereon till date. Served with the advance copy of the petition, Ms. Arundhati Kulshreshtha, AAG, Punjab, appears on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that the said representations/applications shall be considered and decided by the competent authority, in accordance with law. 4. Without commenting on merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Deputy Commissioner, SAS Nagar, Mohali (competent authority), to look into the pending representation/application dated 15.11.2023 (Annexure P-11) and pass an appropriate reasoned order thereon, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy/production of this order. 5.
