This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 paying for releasing on bail of the petitioner, namely; Akram Ali, who was arrested on 22.10.2025 and produced before the CJM, Kamrup, Amingaon on 23.10.2025 in Page No.# 2/3 connection with Palashbari PS Case No. 261/2025, under Section 61(2)/308(4) of BNS,2023. 3. That the prosecution case is that one Mandira Das lodged an ejahar on 22.10.2025 with Palashbari Police Station, Kamrup, alleging that on 31.10.2025, in the evening at about 08:19 p.m., her husband, Sekher Jyoti Kalita, had got a call from an unknown number (7086339507) and that after receiving the phone, from the other side a male person had said that he had been hired to kill and do black magic on her, her husband, her son and her mother. When her husband had questioned who had hired him, he had said that Geetanjali Kalita (Pn. No. 600188442) had asked him to kill them. It was further stated that after that, through WhatsApp, he had sent all their photos mentioning their names. In order not to be killed, he had called them to Narengi to meet him. They had got scared, so in the afternoon they had gone to Narengi to meet Akram Ali. After that, he had demanded four thousand rupees from them, and they had paid the four thousand rupees through Google Pay. It was also stated that last night he had again called them and had demanded money from them, and that on the next day, the accused along with his mate had come to their shop “Flowrina,” which is situated in Mirza. Having no other way, they had started shouting and had informed the police. 4. On the basis of the ejahar, the police of Palashbari Police Station had registered a case being Palashbari P.S. Case No. 261/2025, U/s. 61(2)/308(4) BNS. 5. It appears from the Case Diary that there is some material against the petitioner. 6. The co accused of this Court Faridul Islam has been granted bail by this Page No.# 3/3 court vide order dated 12.11.2025 in Bail Appln No. 3540/2025. 7. Having regard to the nature of the allegation and the period of detention nearly a month spent by the petitioner in detention, the prayer for bail is allowed. 8. Accordingly, it is provided that the accused petitioner, named above, shall be released on bail of Rs. 20,000/- only with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of CJM, Kamrup Amingaon. 9. It is further provided that the petitioner shall co-operate with the investigation and shall not try to influence or intimidate the witnesses in the case. 10.
