2. The instant writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner for the following reliefs: i.) For a direction upon the respondents for payment of death-cum-retiral benefit of deceased husband of petitioner, namely of Bhaktaranjan Mahato who died in harness and to pay the entire retiral benefit including pension and gratuity to the petitioner which has already been sanctioned by the respondent no. 4 vide Application No. 1112003541 dated 20.12.2012 but even lapse of more than 11 years the same has not paid to the petitioner; to pay the statutory interest upon the delayed payment of the retiral benefits of the deceased husband of petitioner.

At the outset, learned counsel for the Petitioner draws attention of this Court towards para-8 and the corresponding Annexure and submits that in view of the para-8 and Annexure-B, the instant writ application may be
disposed of.

Learned counsel for the Respondents relying upon paragraph-8 of counter affidavit submits that vide letter no. 2619 dated 29.11.2024, the concerned Treasury Officer has been requested to make payment of family pension/gratuity to the Petitioner. He further referred to the corresponding Annexure-B, wherein a request has been made for making payment of family pension and gratuity to the Petitioner.

Having regard to the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, the instant writ application is hereby disposed of without giving any further direction, save and except that Annexure-B which is letter dated 29.11.2024 issued by the District Superintendent of Education addressed to the Treasury Officer, Jamshedpur shall be acted upon as early as possible, but not beyond a period of 6 weeks, if not done till date.

Accordingly, the instant writ application is
disposed of.
