3 The Court made the following ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:-
“….to issue an appropriate Writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the candidature of the petitioner as local candidate for admissions in APEAPCET- 2025 for the academic year 2025-2026 in the view of G.O.Ms.No.20 Higher Education (EC) Department, dated 12.05.2025 issued by the respondent No.1 as illegal, arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents to consider the candidature of the petitioner as a local candidate for all the purposes of admissions in APEAPCET-2025 that is being conducted by the respondent No.4.”
2. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, learned Government Pleader for Higher Education submits that the issue in the present Writ Petition is squarely covered by the common order passed by a Division Bench of this Court, dated 13.08.2025 passed in W.P. No.19579 of 2025 and batch, wherein the Division Bench dismissed the similarly situated Writ Petitions. 3. Following the aforesaid order and for the reasons stated therein, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Registry is directed to enclose a copy of the order dated 13.08.2025 passed in W.P. No.19579 of 2025 and batch. SRK, J W.P.No.20160 of 2025
