JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs: “WHEREFORE, it is prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to issue a direction to the trial court to conclude the trial within 3 months where the petitioner’s case is pending in the Court of the Addl. Civil Judge (Sr. Dn.) and ACJM, Udupi, in C.C.No.29/2021 arising out of Crime No.198/2020 for the offence p/u/s 120B, 143, 144, 147, 148, 307, 504, 506, 201, 115, 149 as against the Accused No.1/Petitioner in the interest of justice.” 2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned HCGP for respondent No.1 and perused the material on record. 3. The limited prayer sought in this petition by the petitioner is for a direction to the Trial Court to conclude the proceedings in C.C.No.29/2021 (S.C.No.4/2022), within a stipulated timeframe. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:24318 CRL.P No. 7848 of 2025 4. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I deem it just and appropriate to dispose of this petition by directing the Trial Court to dispose of the matter, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Subject to the aforesaid observations and directions, the petition stands disposed of. All rival contentions are kept open and no opinion is expressed on the same.
