Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that these writ petitions be treated to have been filed only qua

- 2 - relief No.(b), as prayed in para 18 of the writ petitions.
Learned counsel further submits that the petitioners be reserved liberty to seek appropriate remedy at an appropriate stage for the redressal of their grievances covered under prayer No.(a).

Notice. Mr. Y.P.S. Dhaulta, learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents in both the petitions.

Petitioners seek higher stage of pay, i.e. Rs.30,500/-, on completion of two years of regular service as Patwari in accordance with notification dated 06.09.2022 (Annexure P-6).

Petitioners were appointed as Patwari on contract basis in the respondent-Department on 12.11.2021 (Annexure P-4). Their services were regularized on 07.06.2024 (Annexure P-8). On being appointed on regular basis on 07.06.2024, petitioners were placed in the pay-scale of Rs.20,200/-. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners’ claim for Rs.30,500/- on completion of two years of regular service on the strength of notification dated 06.09.2022, amending Revised Pay Rules 2022, is covered
- 3 - under the decision rendered in Mohit Sharma & Anr. Versus State of H.P. & Ors.2.

In view of above, it is deemed appropriate to dispose of this writ petition with direction to the respondents to consider and decide the respective cases of the petitioners for grant of higher stage of pay of Rs.30,500/- w.e.f. their completing two years of regular service as Patwari keeping in view the aforesaid decision in Mohit Sharma2. Ordered accordingly. Appropriate orders in this regard be issued within a period of four weeks from today. The decision so arrived at shall also be communicated to the petitioners. Liberty is reserved to the petitioners to seek appropriate remedy in accordance with law at an appropriate stage for the redressal of their grievances covered under relief No.(a).
The writ petitions stand disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
