The petitioners seekquashment of criminal proceedings 94/2015 initiated on the basis of FIR No. 94/2015, in the Court of the Munsiff, Jammu in case titled “UT of J&K through Police Station, Kanachak v. Vijay Kumar and Ors.” for offences under Section 498, 323,109, 201 IPC, primarily on the ground that they have resolved the matrimonial dispute. 2. The compromise agreement between the petitioners has also been placed on record. 3. Statements of accused/ petitioner nos. 1 and 2, namely, KantaKumari and Vijay Kumar and petitioner No. 6- the complainant on whose instance, the impugned FIR came to be registered has been reduced into writing before Registrar Judicial of this Court. 4. The complainant in her statement has stated that she has amicably resolved her matrimonial dispute with her husband- Vijay Kumar and they 2 have mutually dissolved the marriage and decree of divorce has been granted by Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Jammu on 30.11.2024. Petitioner No. 6- the complainant has also stated that she has no objection if the impugned criminal proceedings pending against her husband in the Court of learned Munsiff, Jammu are quashed. 5. In view of the above, the present petition is allowed and criminal proceedings pending in the Court of learned Munsiff, Jammu are hereby quashed. 6. Disposed of.
