GUNESHWAR SHARMA Order 17.09.2025 [1] Present Mr. N. Bipin, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. for the State respondent. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner challenged the order dated 08.04.2022 issued by the Superintendent of Police/CID (Security), Manipur, Imphal suspending the petitioner for involvement in criminal case. [3] Vide order dated 22.07.2024 passed by this Court in MC(WP(C) No. 68 of 2024, it was made clear that State Government can revoke the suspension order if advised so notwithstanding the pendency of the writ petition. [4] Thereafter, the Superintendent of Police/CID (Security), Manipur, Imphal vide order dated 03.09.2025 revoked the suspension order dated 08.04.2022 and reinstated the petitioner with immediate effect without prejudice to the departmental enquiry contemplated against him in view the acute shortage of manpower for ensuring VVIP Manipur. [5] It is submitted that with the reinstatement of the petitioner vide order dated 03.09.2025, the cause of the writ petition has become infructuous. [6] The order dated 03.09.2025 is taken on record. [7] Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A., also submits that the cause of the writ petition does not survive. [8] Recording the submissions made at the bar and with the subsequent development, writ petition is closed as infructuous. Misc. applications, if any, are closed.
