Verma, Additional Advocates General, with Mr. Ravi Chauhan, Deputy Advocate General. ____________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, Judge(oral): Careful perusal of reply filed on behalf of respondents clearly reveals that petitioner herein has been granted work charge status from the date when he has completed eight years daily wage service with 240 days in each calendar year. Since in terms of
judgment passed by Hon’ble Apex Court in SLP (C) No.2316 of 2023, titled State of Himachal Pradesh and others Vs. Surajmani and others, consequential benefits, if any, on account of conferment of work-charge status, are to be given on notional basis, no steps, if any, for release of afore benefits are required to be taken at the behest of respondents save and except pay fixation. 1Whether the reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?

2. Mr. Rajan Kahol, learned Additional Advocate General, fairly states that orders with regard to pay fixation, if not already passed, shall be passed expeditiously.

Consequently, in view of the above, present is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to ensure that order of pay fixation after conferment of work charge status of the petitioner, if not already issued, shall be issued expeditiously, preferably within four weeks.
