JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 13.12.2025 This is an appeal filed by the appellant-New India Assurance Company Ltd. against the Award dated 18.01.2025 passed by the learned Commissioner, Employee’s Compensation, Barpeta (for short Commissioner, Barpeta) in E.C. Case No.342/2021. Ms. Hena Haflongbar, Assistant Manager of The New India Insurance Assurance Company Ltd. (Insurance Company) and the claimant-Ms. Labanya Das along with her learned counsel, Shri K.K. Agarwala are present today i.e., 13.12.2025 in the National Lok Adalat. The parties present jointly submit that the matter has been amicably settled Page No.# 3/3 between the parties and a lump sum amount Rs.8,50,000/- (Rupees Eight lakhs fifty thousand) only as full and final settlement has been agreed upon. In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the aforesaid lump sum amount of Rs. 8,50,000/- (Rupees Eight lakhs fifty thousand) only being the full and final payment directly to the bank account, being A/C No.3398012262 and IFC Code No. CBIN0282457 maintained by the appellant with the Central Bank of India, Nalbari Town Branch within a period of 45 days from today.
