Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondent nos. 1 & 2; and Mr. RK. Deepak, learned Sr. counsel assisted by Mrs. I. Bimola, learned counsel appearing for the respondent nos. 3 & 4. In view of the limited prayer made on behalf of the petitioners and as agreed to by all the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of at the motion stage itself. As the outset, it has been submitted by Mr. BP Sahu that the petitioners have already approached respondent nos. 3 & 4 by filing a representation dated 30.05.2025 requesting for fixation of final seniority list of the employees of the Manipur Technical University as LUCY GURU MAYU M Digitally signed by LUCY GURUMAYUM Date: 2025.10.08 16:06:28 +05'30' Page 2 the authorities have not issued any inter-se final seniority list of all the employees serving in the Manipur Technical University. It has also been submitted that the said representation is still pending for consideration and disposal by the authorities. The learned Sr. counsel submitted that the petitioners will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent nos. 3 & 4 to consider the said representation dated 30.05.2025 submitted by the petitioners and to dispose of the same by issuing appropriate order within a stipulated period. Mr. RK. Deepak, learned Sr. counsel representing respondent nos. 3 & 4 submitted that the authorities cannot finalized the inter-se seniority list of all the employees serving in the Manipur Technical University due to certain litigation pending in this Court. However, the learned Sr. counsel fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is confined to consideration and disposal of the representation submitted by them he has no objection in disposing of this writ petition as prayed for. Considering the submission made by the learned Sr. counsel appearing for the parties, this Court is of the consider view that it will be in the interest of justice to issue the following directions; Page 3 (i) The respondent nos. 3 & 4 are hereby directed to consider the representation dated 30.05.2025 submitted by the petitioners on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable rules/guidelines and to dispose of the same by issuing an appropriate order. (ii) The whole exercised should be completed within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. (iii) It is made clear that this writ petition has been disposed of without touching on the merit of the writ petition. With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition is disposed of.
