ASHUTOSH KUMAR HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN DEV CHOUDHURY 12.11.2025 (Ashutosh Kumar, CJ) We have heard Mr. M.A. Sheikh, learned Advocate for the petitioners; Ms. P. Thapa, learned Advocate for respondent Nos.1 and 4 and Mr. S. Baruah, learned Government Advocate for respondent Nos.2 and 3. With respect to naming of a remote place as the Centre of the Block Development Office, a representation has been filed by the petitioners before the District Commissioner, Dhubri, which has gone unheeded uptil now. We deem it appropriate to dispose of this PIL petition with a direction to the District Commissioner, Dhubri to look into the matter and pass a reasoned order within a period of 8(eight) weeks, to be counted from the date when the petitioners would bring to his notice a copy of this order, as also a reasoned representation for seeking the Centre to be shifted to a place which is accessible to all.
