This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 paying for Page No.# 2/3 granting of regular bail to the petitioner, namely; Suman Sutradhar, arrested on 09.10.2025, in connection with Chandmari P.S Case No. 239/2025 under Section 103(2) of BNS, 2023/ 3. The gist of the allegation is that on 02.10.2025 when the informant’s brother was returning after immersion of the Durga Idol, he was badly attacked by 30-40 persons and brought to KGNT Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 4. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the present petitioner is not a participant of the assault. 5. Mr. D P Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the Case Diary of the case is available as it was submitted in connection with another bail petition disposed of earlier concerning the same case and no direct involvement of the petitioner is indicated. 6. In view of the above as well as the period of detention of 37 days already undergone by the accused petitioner, prayer for bail is allowed. 7. Accordingly, it is provided that the accused petitioner, named above, shall be released on bail of Rs. 20,000/- with two sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of learned CJM, Kamrup(M), Guwahati subject to the following condition:- (i) That the accused petitioner shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the Court.
