BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 13.12.2025 This is an appeal filed by the claimant-appellant against the Award dated 20.03.2017 passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Biswanath Chariali, Sonitpur (for short MACT, Biswanath Chariali) in MAC Case No. 14/2014. Ms. Hena Haflongbar, Assistant Manager of The New India Insurance Assurance Company Ltd. (Insurance Company) and the claimant-Ms. Bakuli Choudhuri along with her learned counsel, Shri BR Das are present today i.e., 13.12.2025 in the National Lok Adalat. It is submitted that the original Award has already been deposited and withdrawn.
Page No.# 3/3 The parties present jointly submit that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and an additional lump sum amount Rs. 2,10,000/- (Rupees two lakhs ten thousand) only as full and final settlement has been agreed upon. In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the aforesaid amount Rs. 2,10,000/- (Rupees two lakhs ten thousand) only being the full and final settlement directly to the bank account, being A/C No.7029010066042 and IFC Code No.PUNBORRBAGB maintained by the claimant with the Assam Gramin Vikash Bank, Bindukuri Branch (7029) within a period of 45 days from today. Both the MAC appeal and IA accordingly stand disposed of. Send back the TCRs, if any.
