The applicant has prayed for impleadment of the new incumbent, Shri Abhijeet Sinha, IAS, Home Commissioner as the newly impleaded respondent no. 5 (R-5) in the connected COP(C)/14/2025. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the COP(C)/14/2025 has been filed alleging willful non-compliance of the Order dated 12.11.2024 passed by this Court in WP(C)/141/2020. Notice has been issued and during the pendency of the contempt petition, Mr. Anoop Page No.# 3/3 Khinchi, the then Home Commissioner has been transferred out and is replaced by the new incumbent, Shri Abhijeet Sinha, IAS. Accordingly, the petitioner prays for impleading of the new incumbent as the R-5 in the COP(C)/14/2025. The prayer of the petitioner/applicant is allowed. The petitioner/applicant shall take steps to amend the causetitle in COP(C)/14/2025 and, thereafter, implead the new Home Commissioner, Shri Abhijeet Sinha as the R-5. After filing of the new amended causetitle, the petitioner/applicant shall also take steps for service on the newly impleaded R-5 by Speed Post and usual process within a week.
