Present Ms. Alina, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. N. Nongdamba, learned counsel for the respondents. [2]
The present contempt petition is preferred by the petitioners for non-compliance of the direction in the order dated 26.02.2025 passed by this Court in WP(C) No. 157 of 2025 whereby the Commissioner/ Secretary (Revenue), Government of Manipur was directed to dispose of the representation dated 24.12.2024 by a speaking order within two months. [3]
When the matter is taken up today, Mr. N. Nongdamba,
learned counsel for respondent No. 1, submits that the Directorate of Settlement & Land Records, Manipur issued an order dated 01.08.2025 in compliance of the direction of this Court. [4]
The order dated 01.08.2025 is taken on record. [5]
In view of the subsequent event of issuing the order dated 01.08.2025, the cause of the contempt petition does not survive and the same is closed.
