GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: The instant Writ Petition is filed by the Petitioners seeking indulgence of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief: “ ... to issue a Writ or Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring action of the respondents police more particularly the respondent No. 4 in calling the petitioners to the police station without there being any cause and also compelling the petitioner to settle the alleged civil disputes in between the respondent 5 herein as well as in interfering with the life and liberty of the petitioner as illegal, arbitrary and also opposed to Article 21 of the Constitution of India as well as abuse of power of police consequentially direct the respondent No. 4 herein not to interfere with the personal life and liberty of the petitioners by calling to the police station without there being any cause and pass ....” 2. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondents would submit that basing on the complaint received from the Public Grievance Redressal System, respondent Police have called the Petitioners to the Police Station and enquired into the allegations. 3 3. Learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that the dispute between the Petitioners and respondent No.5 is purely civil in nature. Learned counsel would submit that appropriate directions may be passed to the respondent Police and may dispose of this Writ Petition. 4. In that view, it is apposite to direct the respondent Police not to call the Petitioners to the Police station since no crime has been registered against the Petitioners as on this date. It does not preclude the respondent Police to proceed with the compliant which was submitted by Respondent No.5 and at the same time, Police are directed to follow the procedure according to law. 5.
