Shri Ved Prakash Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned AGA submit that the chargesheet in the instant case was filed on 04.09.2023. The mediation report records that the private respondents did not appear before the mediation centre and hence mediation could not succeed. The amount of Rs. 20,000/- deposited by the petitioners for facilitating the mediation is liable to be returned. Registry is directed to refund the aforesaid amount to the petitioners. Sri Ved Prakash Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioners does not wish to press the writ petition. He, however, submits that the petitioners may be granted leave to avail their alternative remedies in accordance with law. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed. It is clarified that none of the observations made in this order shall prejudice the rights of the petitioners.
