GP FOR HOME 3 THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA WRIT PETITION NO: 19792/2025 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “…pleased to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the Respondents No.3 and 4 interfering with the personal life and liberty of the Petitioner and pressurizing him to settle the Civil Dispute without any legal cause, as illegal, arbitrary and violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents not to interfere with the personal liberty of the petitioner by summoning him to the police station and not to pressurizing him to settle the Civil Dispute and to pass…” 2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Sri V. Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions would submit that the husband of the 5th respondent sent a representation to the Superintendent of Police, Tirupathi District through PGRS on 02.06.2024. The police have called the petitioner to the police station for preliminary enquiry and the police have found that the matter is of civil in nature. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that no case has been registered against the petitioner. 3. Sri Somisetty Ganesh Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that recording the same, the petition may be disposed of. 4. Recording the above said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the police are directed not to interfere in the civil disputes.
