Tata Venkata Sridevi, Standing Counsel for Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences The Court made the following ORDER: The writ petition is filed seeking writ of mandamus, to declare the impugned order dated 23.06.2016 informing that the petitioner will be retired from service on 30.07.2016, without following Act 4 of 2014 by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, as illegal, arbitrary, etc., and for consequential direction. 2. On 29.03.2016, this Court by way of interim orders, directed the 2nd respondent to continue the petitioner in service until further orders or till he attains the age of 60 years as the case may be and made clear that no 2 promotion can be granted to the petitioner, pending disposal of the writ petition. 3. Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is jointly represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Upendra, learned counsel representing Smt. T.V. Sridevi, learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent-University, that the petitioner retired from the service on 30.06.2018 A.N. on attaining the age of superannuation i.e., 60 years. In proof of the same, the learned Standing Counsel also placed a copy of the proceedings dated 29.06.2018 issued by the 2nd respondent-University in respect of the petitioner. 4. Taking into consideration the above stated position, the writ petition is closed by making the proceedings dated 29.06.2018 as part of the record. There shall be no order as to costs.
