The instant petition alleges deliberate and willful non-compliance of an order dated 30.10.2019 passed by this Court in WP(C)/3327/2018. Shri Deuri, learned counsel for the respondent no. 2 has however submitted that the order in question has been complied with in the meantime and in this connection, he has placed before this Court a communication dated 22.04.2024 issued to him whereby a communication dated 09.04.2024 issued by the Treasury Officer, Hailakandi has been enclosed. In the said order, it has been clearly stated that an amount of Rs.1,42,562/- is refunded to the petitioner in his bank account. It appears that the order in question has been substantially complied with. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that there is no requirement to further continue with this contempt petition and accordingly, the same stands closed.
