As per the communication addressed to the Advocate General by the Superintending Engineer, 1st Circle, HPPWD Mandi, a sum of Rs.120.00 lacs for the balance work of Kelodhar Sainj Road km.0/0 to 19/00 ( SH: Passing places, M/T works, V-shape drain etc. in Km. Naglog to Balidhar road Km.15/340 to 19/00) has been sanctioned, which would be clear from the letter dated 28.08.2025, addressed by the Additional Secretary (PW) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh to the Engineer-in-Chief, HPPWD. 2. It is in such circumstance, it has been mentioned that the tendering process would be initiated and the notice inviting tender will be issued within two days for carrying out the metalling and tarring of the road by making provisions out of the available limited resources with the Department and would be completed in a time bound manner on completion of tendering process on the stretch of road, as per the availability of funds and weather condition. 3. It is not disputed that the said road is in Mandi District, which is at present badly hit by heavy rain and cloud
3 bursts this monsoon. 4. Keeping in view the above, counsel for the petitioner would be satisfied, if the State stands by its undertaking as such to complete the balance work of the road, which is stated to from Km.15/340 to 19.00 as it is not disputed that the work is already going on from 00/00 to 15/00 kilometers. 5.
Keeping in view the above, we dispose of both the Execution petition and Contempt petition on the assurance/undertaking given by the State. 6. Needless to say that liberty is given to the petitioner to revive the cases in case there is any violation of the undertaking. 7. All pending applications stand disposed of accordingly. ( G.S. Sandhawalia )
