Petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs: “10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to release the pending salary of the petitioners, which the petitioners have already served that is from March 2024 onwards. 10.2 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to issue an appropriate order for extension of contractual services of the petitioners, in the interest of justice. 10.3 Any other relief which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in favour of the petitioners may kindly be passed.” 2. Counsel for petitioner submits that petitioners are working on different posts under the Extension Reform Program for Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) on contract basis. Petitioners were initially engaged on contract in the year 2018 and since then they are continuously working pursuant to the order issued time to time, however, after 2022 no order is passed extending the contract period and therefore, petitioner had made several requests to the higher authorities which was not considered. 3. Counsel for the State submits that the respondent-department is aware of the situation and have forwarded the letter dated 20.01.2026 under the signature of the respondent No. 2 to respondent No. 1 making a proposal for extension of the period of the contract of petitioners along with the others. The proposal forwarded on 20.01.2026 is still pending consideration. 4. In the aforementioned facts of the case, when the proposal is already forwarded by respondent No. 2 to respondent No. 1, the proposal for extension of period of contract of the petitioner, which is pending 3 / 3 consideration, the writ petition at this stage is disposed of directing respondent No.1 to consider and take decision on the proposal forwarded to the Deputy Secretary, State of C.G, Agricultural Development and Agriculturist Welfare Department, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a further period of four months from the date of receipt of the order. 5.
