The petitioner has preferred the present petition with the following prayers:- I. A writ order of direction in the nature of the mandamus directing to the respondents to pay the arrears of salary for a period of 25.7.1997 to 1.5.1998 (281 days) & from the month of May 1998 to June 1998 (for 2 months) also direct the respondents to give the benefit to the petitioner of 5th Pay commission. II. A writ order of direction in the nature of the mandamus directing to the respondent no: 2 to decide the representation dated 29-11-2024 for payment of arrears of salary for a period of 25.7.1997 to 1.5.1998 (281 days) &from the month of May 1998 to June 1998 (for 2 months) also direct the respondents to give the benefit to the petitioner of 5th Pay commission, within some stipulated period. 2. After some arguments, a prayer has been made by learned counsel for the petitioner to dismiss the present petition as withdrawn with liberty to approach the authority concerned. 3. This prayer has not been opposed by learned Standing Counsel and Sri Shivendra Singh Bhadoria, learned counsel for the respondents. 4. Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayed.
