Also heard Mr. A Chaliha, learned counsel for the respondent No. 3 Mr. K.D Sharma, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A Chaliha, learned counsel for the respondent No. 3 submit that this contempt petition has been filed for willful disobedience of the directions contained in the order dated 14.09.2023 passed in W.P(C) No. 1680/2012. It is submitted that the State in the meantime had preferred a writ appeal being W.A No. 411/2023 vide order dated 06.05.2025, the order passed by the Co-ordinate Bench was interfered with. In that view of the matter, this Court considers it appropriate to close the contempt proceedings at this stage. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed. Notices issued are recalled.
