The instant petition has been filed for the following relief: "(1). issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding and directing the respondent No.3/Settlement Officer of Consolidation, District-Jaunpur to decide the Restoration/ Recall Application No.703 dated 22.05.2018 filed in Appeal No.1449/1450 (Jivbodh versus Parmanand) pending before him within specific period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court." 3. This Court vide order dated 11.03.2025 directed respondent No.3/ Settlement Officer of Consolidation to submit the report in the matter. 4. In compliance of the order of this Court report/ instruction dated 26.03.2025 is placed before the Court, which is taken on record. 5. Mr. R. C. Srivastava, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents on the basis of the instruction submitted that next date fixed in the restoration proceeding is 01.05.2025. 6. I have considered the arguments advanced by the learned counsel for the parties. 7. There is no dispute about the fact that time barred restoration application filed by the predecessor of the petitioner is pending before respondent No.3/ Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Jaunpur. 8. Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case, no case for expeditious disposal of time barred restoration application is made out. 9. The writ petition is accordingly, dismissed.
