JUSTICE BUDI HABUNG ORDER Date : 27.11.2025 Ms. N. Anju, learned counsel for the appellants and Mr. D. Loyi, learned Public Prosecutor for the State respondent are present. The present appeal has been filed by the appellant challenging the judgement and order dated 25.03.2021, whereby the learned Special Judge (POCSO) Khonsa has sentenced him to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 5(five) years and also to pay a fine of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) only, with default stipulation. During the pendency of the appeal, a communication dated 26.11.2025, has been received from the Deputy Superintendent of Jail, District Jail Tezu, informing that the appellant has already completed the sentenced imposed upon him and has been released from custody on 30.01.2025, upon completion of the terms of the imprisonment. In view of the fact that the substantive sentenced imposed upon the appellant has already been fully undergone, nothing survives for adjudication in the present appeal insofar as the challenge to the sentence is concerned. The appeal has, therefore, rendered infructuous. Accordingly, the criminal appeal stands dismissed as infructuous. Any pending interlocutory application also stands disposed of.
