Choudhury, learned counsel for the respondent No. 1. Mr. Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is agreeable to pay the amount fixed by the appellate Court to the respondent No. 1 which is to the tune of Rs. 8,00,000/- (Rupees eight lakhs only) i.e. the double the cheque amount as per order passed by the appellate Court. He further submits that the same will be given to the respondent No. 1 by way of demand draft. Ms.
N. Choudhury, learned counsel for the respondent No. 1 after deliberating with the respondent No. 1 has agreed to the proposal and has prayed that the matter be taken up after the amount is paid. Mr. Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that an amount of Rs. 80,000/- (Rupees eighty thousand only) has already been deposited towards the cheque amount to the Court of the learned Sessions Judge, Kamrup (M), Guwahati. If the same is found to be correct, the same would be deposited back by the learned Sessions Judge to the respondent No. 1. List the matter again on 26.03.2026.
